Yu-Ai Kai Mission Statement

Rooted in the Japanese-American tradition, the purpose of Yu-Ai Kai is to provide social, nutritional, recreational, health, and cultural services as well as advocacy through culturally competent practices primarily for elder members of the Asian/Pacific Islander communities.

Our Vision Statement

To be a leader in promoting seniors, youths, and their families as valued members of our communities, to support the sharing and preservation of Japanese-American and Asian/Pacific Islander cultures, and to support Japantown as a vibrant, thriving community.

Substitute Nutrition Van Driver: On call to pick-up seniors, drive them to Yu-Ai Kai for lunch, and return them to their homes. Deliver hot meals to homebound seniors. Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 2:00 pm.

Substitute Nutrition Site Manager: On call to perform the duties of the Site Manager. This is a hands on position. 8.0 hours per day, 7:30am - 4:00pm.

Substitute Kitchen Aides: On call to help prepare and serve hot lunches for seniors. 4.5 hours per day, 9:00am - 2:00pm.

Work for Yu-Ai Kai (organization of Friendship and Love) and make a positive difference in the lives of over 2,700 elders.
