Honoring the Legacy, Building for the Future

Phase I - Project Description: Renovate Senior Center Building

In 2005 we will reconstruct our current senior center. The renovation will add 956 sq footage of program space and 526 sq footage of administrative space. Renovations will expand our daily service to seniors by 50%.

Renovation Benefits: Expanded Capacity and Services

  • Add a sunroom for Senior Day Service enabling more frail seniors to attend. This beautiful new room will provide indirect sunlight, beneficial for physical and mental health.

  • Open up space for a new senior's Activity Room that will accommodate groups of eighteen or more.

  • Create an area in the Activities Room for Go, cards, pool, table tennis and other favorite men's activities to encourage more men to participate in programs.

  • Improve handicap access to exceed legal requirements in order to preserve maximum independence for our seniors.

  • Renovate and reconfigure offices to open up more program and activity space while creating better workspace for staff. An Executive Director's office and small conference room will be added.
